Scene from the tournament room. The tournament room can accomodate 90 players as there are request to increase players(see GP Open1). However, the turn out is less than 60 and thus, is not justifiable for bigger venue if the quantity of participants is like this...

Ang Zhen Wei unwary of the tiger in front of him... (NM Yeoh Chin Seng vs Ang zhen Wei, round1, 1-0)

Kee Zijia first encounter with National Master Ng Tze Han(0-1).

Parents socialising while waiting for their children.
It is interesting that some parents approach me to discussion on children related behaviour(not related to chess)! (Issues like "children having fun at uncle house and don't want to go home, what should we do?", etc. I listened and did my level best to give some points... but I had to say this : Not easy to become a good parent! phew...

Veteran Chuah Heng Meng takes the 4th prize.

Victor Hong receive top prize from Mr. Tan Eng Seong beside that, he also receive a roaring applause from the spectators for his amazing display!

"How do you(Yeoh Li Tian) become world number 4 players?" Perhaps this photo tell you more than words can say... (Yeoh Li Tian is champion in U12 cateogry.)

She is the first female Arbiter in Penang. She is ex-MSSPP players from PCGHS and she is beautiful!! Wanna know her name?

Lau Ee Chien, who was once, one of the strongest girl players from Penang. Her involvement as Arbiter here(and next at Penang Chess League on 22-23 Dec) will definetely help the development of chess in Penang. And if you wish to see her beautiful face, don't miss Penang Chess League!
